December is the month where the spirit of Christmas will encourage us to think of others. This year two third year students in DCU are participating in the 100 minds charity initiative.
Dee is the daughter of Orla (MD of Datascan) and she joins her friend Triona in challenging people to get #OnYourFeet by climbing the height of the Eiffel Tower for The Children’s Health Foundation, Temple Street.
Temple Street
For thousands of children all over Ireland, Temple Street Children’s Hospital is the only hospital they can be treated in. For many, the hospital becomes a home away from home, wards become playgrounds and nurses and doctors become friends. Temple Street Hospital provides care for almost 150,000 sick children every single year, often providing lifesaving treatment for those children who need it most. But now in the current climate, they need our help more than ever before. All money raised from the #OnYourFeetForTempleStreet will go directly to funding the development of a so desperately needed new haemodialysis unit within the hospital.
How to join in
The Datascan team are on board. We will be climbing virtual Eiffel Towers this month and hope you will join in for such a great cause.
To take part, you can climb the equivalent of the height of the Eiffel Tower at home or outdoors to raise money. For every €10 donated you can enter a draw to win a €400 Aer Lingus voucher.
